Anti-US Empire Event Sept. 17-18 in New York City

Rejecting the Corporate Empire: Unilateral US Power, Endless Wars and and the Neoliberal Agenda - Two evenings of speakers and panels on the new international order - organized for the benefit of multinational corporations, protected and enforced by US military power.
There are four presentations in the upstairs Meeting Room at Judson Memorial Church:

-"What would really happen if the US withdrew all its troops from Iraq?"
Prof. Michael Schwartz (SUNY Stony Brook), 7:00 PM

-"Africa in the Neoliberal Era"
Prof. Silvia Federici (Hofstra), Prof. Ousseina Alidou (Rutgers), and Matt Meyer (War Resisters League), 8:00 PM

-"Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran , Palestine, Lebanon , Somalia: Connecting the Imperial Dots"
Prof. Hamid Dabashi (Columbia), 7:00 PM

-"Living in a Neoliberal World - What the Future Holds"
Prof. William K. Tabb (Queens College), 8:00 PM

Each presentation is followed by a Q&A with the audience.

The larger anti-imperialism message needs publicizng more than ever to counter the desensitizing impact of the now open discussion of American empire by media pundits, academics, government figures, and public intellectuals of all stripes.
