Cool Aid / AIDS Vancovuer Island Volunteer Opportunity

Cool Aid and AIDS Vancouver Island are currently looking for friendly volunteers to provide Vancity customers with a small flier as they walk into the branches in Victoria and the Lower Mainland. The flier describes our ACCESS Community Health Centre project and encourages Vancity customers to vote for it so that we may receive a $1 million grant from Vancity Credit Union.

Volunteers should enjoy chatting with people and care about health services for Victoria?s inner city residents. The fliers will be distributed outdoors in front of Vancity and will require standing for several hours with short sitting breaks. An experienced sales clerk or services worker would be ideal for this volunteer position. A short training session is also required.

More volunteer positions are listed below.

Everyone Counts

Victoria Cool Aid Society is excited to announce it will be sponsoring the Homeless Needs Survey during the winter of 2006/07. Following a successful Homeless Count in 2005, Cool Aid hopes the second survey and count will continue to raise community and public awareness while providing outreach to those who are without permanent housing.
