Homelessness #2

PEJ News - Richard Walpole - Homelessness in developed, First World countries appears at first blush to be a problem of individuals who are either sick or lazy. It is perfectly acceptable in certain sectors to poor-bash with vigour. Governments know their constituents will not be too critical of difficulties placed in the path of those who need assistance. However, there now appears to be a little change that is working wonders.

The Phoney Ben Laden

PEJ News - Ben Laden tapes are aimed at the US audience for one reason and one reason only, and that is to galvanize public support behind the failed misadventures of war on terror.

Amongst the overwhelming majority of Moslems, Ben Laden and Zawahry are not popular nor looked upon as prophets nor religious leaders nor any such attributes, ON THE CONTRARY, they are despised. Maybe a few, and I haven't seen them on any TV station yet nor talked to any of them, but the same as the polls tell us that 33% believe that Bush is wonderful and a God sent gift to humanity or Christianity, I am sure there are gullibles out there that believe that Ben Laden is lovely, except that their ratio amongst Moslems seem to be a lot less than our gullible 33% Chritian Right or rather, Wrong.

al-Qaeda, Diapers, Beer and the Canadian Connection

PEJ News - Rick Barnes - It seems that a Canadian with a dodgey past is in some hot water because of an invention that can be used for all kinds of activities including some illegal applications. Rencode is an invention by a Canadian man who had a tough time in school and even spent some time in jail for having some part in the design and placement of pipe bomb in a drug dealers car.

Now here is an interesting theory.   Bombs go off in London that are executed with supreme efficeincy.  No one claims responsibility.  Karl Rove is being investigated by the grand jury for allegedly being the person who gave the green light to out Valery Plame as an undercover CIA agent.   She was opperating an anti terrorism group investigating WMDs and terrorism world wide.
