In celebration of Black Histroy Month, please join Colour Connected Against
Racism as we reflect on the remarkable life of Malcolm X. Born in Omaha,
Nebraska in 1925, Malcolm X came to be a leader in the struggle for civil
rights in the United States. He went on to travel widely, converted to
Islam, and adopted the name El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. He became a symbol of
resistance against all kinds of oppression, but especially against racial
and colonial violence. Even 44 years after his death he continues to be a
source of radical inspiration to oppressed people around the world.
