Storeyeum has been vacant for 15 months and it is owned by the City.  For the street homeless to sleep on the floor it should not be a problem for the City to easily accommodate.  Although City staff has recommended that Storyeum become a fitness center and spa, this has not be decided by Council yet and staff's recommendation could be rejected.  It is scheduled to go to Council January 29/31 2008.  The petition is found at http://storyeum.googlepages.com
