BC Election News: Campbell's New First Nation's Name -- "Walking Eagle"

(Sent to me by Ingmar Lee, a good friend - might be a hoax since the first publisher was not referenced - regardless, it a brilliant and funny story.  PEG Earth Editor, dani rubin)

Premier Campbell was invited to address a major gathering of the Union of
British Columbia Indian Chiefs last weekend in Kamploops. He spoke for
almost an hour on his future plans for increasing every British Columbian
First Nations present standard of living. He referred to his "New Era" as
one for all, and how he has been signing "YES" many times - for every First
Nation's issue that came to his desk for approval.

Although Premier Campbell was vague on the details of his plan, he seemed
most enthusiastic about his future ideas for helping his indigenous friends.
At the conclusion of his speech, the Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs
presented Premier Campbell with a plaque inscribed with his new First
Nation's name - Walking Eagle.

The proud Premier Campbell then departed in his motorcade, waving to the
crowds. A news reporter later inquired to the group of chiefs of how they
come to select the new name given to the Premier.

They explained that Walking Eagle is the name given to a bird so full of
crap it can no longer fly.
