David Turner: Here we go again. Another pre-election Throne Speech where the Liberal Government plays chameleon games! Changing colours again as camouflage to avoid being targeted on the election hustings. Paul Martin, the corporate CEO of Canada, is trying to appear sensitive to social issues by moving the Party rhetoric slightly left in response to the advocacy of Jack Layton and his NDP colleagues. This shifting platform of the Liberals eventually proves to be founded on sand.

Skeptical Reaction to Throne Speech: (Neo)-Liberals Camouflaged Again!

Here we go again.

Remember the hollow rhetoric to remove the GST? Remember the Red Book? Sure had lots of Canadians fooled.

Now the Liberals are trying to buy the votes of municipalities, students and aboriginals. How long will the afterglow last? We need a Party of substance with politicians whose ideals do not shift in political winds. We need a Party in strong Opposition that will hold Liberal feet to the fire. Thats why I am running for the nomination of the NDP in the Victoria federal riding & to hold the Government truly accountable!
