 Rally in Solidarity with the Treaty 8 First Nations’ Opposition to the Site C Dam

UPDATE ; EVENT CANCELLED
The Treaty 8 First Nations from the Peace River Region in northeastern British Columbia are fearlessly fighting the Site C Dam to protect their homeland and Treaty rights within the Peace River Valley. The fight has made its way to the Federal Court of Canada, with hearings taking place in Vancouver during the week of July 20th, 2015.


We will gather for a peaceful rally at the BC Hydro offices in downtown Vancouver on July 23rd at 1:00 pm to show support for Treaty 8 and demand that the BC government put an end to Site C.
 

Don't forget to BRING YOUR HAND DRUMS!

Speakers include:

 Chief Roland Willson, West Moberly First Nations
 additional speakers TBA

 This event is being held on unceded Coast Salish Territory of the Xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
