Just say "No" to War every Wednesday at noon with the Wednesday Peace Vigil.  We are opposed to the idea that war solves anything.  We know that war kills kids.  Please come take a stand with us for any part of the hour at the Cenotaph at the Legislature some Wednesday soon (Belleville & Government).  Meeting weekly since October 2001 when Canadian forces joined in support of the "humanitarian bombing" of Afghanistan.   (Note:  We no longer meet at 7:00 pm.)  Jane Brett < This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 1.  Street Newz Annual Fundraiser Update

a big THANK YOU !! to this year's most recent supporters:

Marianne Samann Wyss, Earth's General Store (Edmonton), Anonymous, Susanne Marie Porter-Bopp, Andree & Ken Scott, Judy & Bill Gaylord, Mordecai Briemberg (Vancouver).

if you'd like to contribute, any amount, to this year's fundraising attempt - to support the left coast list, the winds of change radio show (thursdays at cfuv), and/or the victoria street newz, your offerings will be most graciously received at:

#407, 1939 Lee Avenue
Victoria BC
V8R 4W9

my goal this year:  $800    collected so far:  $230

if you've already donated sometime this year - thanks.  if you can't afford anything, no worries.

alternate ways to support this alternative media work:  if you're in victoria -- buy an extra street newz or two from vendors and leave them on buses or in coffee shops; watch for 'hope in shadows' calendars for sale around town; offer a free pass to your events now and then; donate to the tree-sitters in northern california or langford.

thanks - have a groovy day!

namaste,
janine
